At some point in our lives, we all come across this feeling of being lost and being unsure about what path to go on.
It doesn’t get any easier these days with having the pressure of society and feeling pressured to know exactly what you’re doing and where you’re going to all the time.
“Where do you see yourself within 5 years?”
Probably one of the most toxic questions you could ever ask someone if you ask me.
It’s fine not to know where you’re heading to, it’s totally okay to be still figuring out who you want to be or what kind of job you see yourself doing and it’s more than fine to live in the moment and not even think about the next 5 years.
Here are some of my tips that you can put into practice right away that will help you on your journey of soul searching:
Tip 1: Meditate
Your inner voice has more to tell you than you think, you just have to listen close enough.
Uncover your life purpose by investigating different various aspects of your life.
Meditating helps us to remember who we are and realize our fullest potential by sitting down and bringing our mind back to the present moment and back to your body.
Tip 2: Journaling
Even if you’re not the biggest writer, writing down your thoughts and emotions only benefits you and helps you to grow. Analyzing your thoughts and emotions can be very interesting and it might help you to motivate and inspire you to get back on track or to come up with new ideas.
Every day, write down the 3 things you’re grateful for.
Tip 3: Yoga
Yoga helps you to live in alignement with your true self.

Begin by creating awareness of your surroundings and environment you’re currently in. Everything serves a purpose, nothing is random. Everything you’re doing in life has a reason and guides you to your soul’s purpose.
Tip 4: Work out
Try to be active for at least 30 minutes a day. Go for a walk or a run, do some weight training or pilates, go dancing. Just move your body!
When you workout, your body realeses endorphins which triggers the positive emotions in your body.
Tip 5: Healthy environment
Surround yourself with people that will help you grow and share the same values in life. Just as much as you want to be aligned with yourself, you want to be aligned with your surrounding as well.
Tip 6: Positive self talk
Wake up, look in the mirror and tell yourself how beautiful you are. Say what you love about yourself.
When you say these things out loud, your mind is going to process is differently and absorb it even better.
Imagine thinking you have a headache all day.. be sure you’ll actually have one by the end of the day.
Our mind is so much stronger than we think. So it’s so important to compliment yourself and have some positive self talk.
Tip 7: Set goals & challenges
Never stop learning and never stop challenging yourself as a person.
When you’re setting goals, you’ll continue learning new things and this means growing as a person.
Personal growth is so important and you should never stop growing as a human being. Try out new stuff, fail at it or even quit if you don’t like it. But all these steps will help you finding the things you do truly like and give you a better idea of what you want to do.
